Welcome
Music is an integral part of congregational worship at Heritage. Through music we express our adoration to God, praise Him for who He is, lift our thoughts and feelings to Him and experience His presence in our lives and in our midst. We'd like to help you grow into a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God. We hope that our ministry enhances your understanding of God and of His Word.
Worship
Heritage has a blended contemporary worship service. By blended contemporary, we mean that we utilize praise and worship selections along with contemporary arrangements of hymns and anthems. Accompanist, choir members, soloists and ensemble members are all using their talents to assist in the Music and Worship Ministry of Heritage.
Praise and Worship Choir
The Praise and Worship Choir is open to all adults who attend HBC. The only requirement is a commitment to serve. While some choir members have previous choral experience and read music, many members do not. A desire to sing is what is most important. The choir practices each Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and leads worship each Sunday morning. In addition to their Sunday morning service, they also present seasonal productions at Christmas, Easter, and/or Indepencence Day.
Children's Choir
Children 3 years old - 6th grade have fun while learning more about music and how it can be used for God's glory through our Children's Choirs. The curriculum includes music, games, activities, and hymn studies, as well as biblical principles. Children's Choirs begin in the fall and continue throughout the school year.
Praise Team and Soloists
Soloists and praise team members lead in worship through the use of their God-given talents in song. As they exercise their gifts, they help us to see God in a fresh way and hear His voice speak to our hearts. If you are interested in singing in the Praise Team or as a soloist, contact Richard Burns.
Technical Crew
We live in a world filled with technology. Everywhere we go, the sights and sounds of technology capture our minds and attempt to refocus our attention on the message at hand. Watch television for 30 minutes and you will have to agree technology is a powerful tool. The tech ministry of Heritage is committed to helping people get to God, grow in Christ, and give to others through the use of technology. Technology is not just the filter through which our worship services pass. It is also a powerful tool to capture the minds and imaginations of the audience, helping to communicate the Word of God in a way that penetrates the heart and is not easily forgotten. Currently, our tech crew has shared responsibilities graphics projection technicians, sound board technicians, video camera technicians and a technical coordinator.
